aftermarket headlights (Searched)

Ok does any one have a guide or information on how to install these heaqdlights?

Thanks,

Clay

Do they not come with any kind of instructions?:hmm:

If not pick up a Haynes manual for your car, [12021] it will give you detailed instructions on re&re of the stock lights and wire color and pin-outs.:idea:94

no

no there are no type of instructions couldnt i wire them up similiar to the way you would JDM one pieces?

Judging by that pic, it is just plug and play. Old headlight harness plugs into blue plug. Corner light goes…into the corner light. Only thing you have to wire up is the fog lights (red and black wires).

Will the blue plug not plug into the OEM head light plug, or I should say will the OEM head light plug not plug into the blue plug?

For the fog lights, [loose red and black] just connect them to your OEM fog light leads, black to black and red/black to red for right, black to black and red/black to red for left.

As mentioned, side markers shout just plug in.

For head lights it’s black for ground, [both sides] and red/green (high) red/yellow (low) left side, red/blue (high) red/white (low) right side, I have no idea what they are on the lights you have, other then black should be ground for both high and low beam, you will just have to test and see which is the high and low.:hmm:94

thanks now i just have to figure out how to get the bumper off i need pics on where all the bolts are at my civic was so much easier

i have those in black and all you gotta do is plug it staight into the stock headlight harness. For the foglights(long red/black wires) what I did was cut the stock clip off and wired them together.

For the bumper there are 2 bolts behind each turn signal and a few screws by the wheel well from what I remember. There might be a few screw under the hood. Its really easy.

alright thanks. i got it all done i just need to know what headlight bulb size they take the ones i had in my stock ones would not fit?

oh thats weird. my 9004’s fit right in. and the fog h3’s should just plug right in.

from what i’ve heard, those use 9007 bulbs, but i think i’ve heard of people putting 9004’s in there without too much modification. but judging by the last pic, it does look like a really straightforward way of wiring them up.

i have a set, but havent really looked at them yet…it looks like its plug and play, and it uses 9007’s, but since so many people (such as myself) did the 9007 conversion on the usdm 3 pieces, do you have to convert back to 9004 inorder to be plug and play once again? And does the new harness that comes with the headlights convert to 9007’s in itself?

Those are nice headlights, i want to get them for my integra. I was told that there is no fog light bulb, it just looks as if one should be there. Is that true? Does it take a bulb and light up like the stock ones? Do you have any pics of them installed?

i havent installed mine yet, but yes there is a fog bulb in there. There’s just silver round thing over it (glare guard) Then you just splice into your fog wires because there’s no connectors, I’m going to take my stock connectors and put them on the aftermarket wires so i can unclip instead of chopping…

Nice. Those are the exact ones that i want to get. Post some pics when you install them.

Hi! I have about that kind of aftermarket headlights in my car. I just don´t know how to adjust the height where the beam shows, if you can understand my bad english… They show now way too high, I should get them showing light to lower. I think I haven´t had any electrical motor adjustment even in stock headlights, so the adjustment should be manually done, I suppose. Anyone have any ideas or had the same problem? I think they are quite the same in all aftermarket lights, but how is it done, I wonder…

These are the adjusting screws. You can use a large Philips head or large Flathead

The cons of these lights is the horrible light scatter. So no matter how you adjust them the light will be all over the place.

I had these on my kid’s 90 DB1 which was recently stolen. Yup, the crooks took them. Can you blame them, only three bolts on the top and they come right off! Nothing on the bottom to hold them. If you use the 9007’s, like I did, you may have to modify the wiring harness. Otherwise the high beams won’t work right. I’ll be looking to buy another set, but hopefully with some kind of bracket on the bottom to make it more difficult to steal…

[/QUOTE]i have these lights with the black housing on my car and just straight wired them up…and now my high beam light always stays on inside the dash…and if i click for the high beams to come on, my lights go rediculously low…is this the prob you had???..how’d you fix it???

i think i’m using the 9007’s as that what fits and thats what is printed on the housing to use…

im running the black housing ones and i have no problem with the light scattering at all . the are ment to receive both the 9004 and 9007 with no mods required .

Um how can they work with both 9004 and 9007 when in order to get the 9007 or 9004 to work, you have to switch two wires on the stock harness.

I wouldn’t call that “no mods required” needed.
