Aftermarket water pump

Hey Guys,
Is there such a thing as a decent aftermarket water pump that is better than stock. I have leaks, by the weep holes, I believe.

What a pain in the butt. I just dropped some major coins to make my car pass smog and now this. 'Ol well. I guess when you have a car that is 12 years old with over 200k miles, you are bound to have some trobles.

And if there is a water pump that you recommend, please let me know. Thanks.

have you overheated? if so change the spark plugs. as for the aftermarket pump i dont know, but fyi i bought a pump for 30 i think, and had that installed for 120. since they were there i had em do the timing belt too for 150 total

Don’t mess with anything but genuine Acura/Honda water pumps or timing belts! I had a non-OEM pump self-destruct after only 27,000 miles on my '89 Civic Si. I got lucky and didn’t bend or break anything else, but I learned my lesson. It took out the belt and spilled the coolant. A new factory belt can be had for about $52 and a pump for $55 (non-Vtec) or $88 (Vtec) from A & H. Some stuff is worth the price!

Don’t mess with anything but genuine Acura/Honda water pumps or timing belts are words to live by!!!
The impeller on aftermarket water pumps is basically universal and not designed specifically for any car. This alone could cause the car to overheat. Do it right the first time.
