Air con switch for internal / external air flow

ok, so one day the switch that is on the dash, that swaps from internal and external airflow went lose, the switch no longer works.

has anyone had this problem before? its set to internal air, so im not driving around letting all the 4wders diesel fumes inside, but i would love to fix this… does anyone have any ideas ?

Thanks for looking, your assistance is much appreciated,

Brendan

Pushbutton or lever switch? If it is the pushbuttons, the solder can break and caust the buttons not to work - look in the teg tips for the fix - under fixing climate control lights.

tis a lever switch version!

Not sure how different the RHD version is, but in the USDM one that is all cable controlled in the lever type I think. You can download section 21 of the Helms manual and check that, and see if the cable they talk about is something you have and can adjust or replace.

ok, checked out the helms, i seem to recall a part i can see on the heater controls diagram that is “jumping” e.g. not moving correctly, i believe it requires a new one! (its the small round cog that controls the internal, external air)

thanks mate,

brendan

no problem
