no other pics that are mine… just whatever you could google really. for the most part, it was ok, i dont know if you could just go to a performance shop and get some straights, and bends for less $$…not sure. its not very complicated underneath our cars, although, the kit does have the advantage of being allready figured out for you. nice piping too. but does require pretty much complete fabrication, hangers, flanges, etc…
as for the UK sites i come across, ebay usually leads me to some of them, and i use google image search often as well. i try to find what race teams use, and then go from there…
left side mold is half complete, layed down the first layer of tooling gelcoat about an hour ago. few more layers of that, and then reinforcing w fiberglass…should be ready tomorrow.
this is the left side (driver) for a 90-91. it’ll be a while for 92-93 bumpers. i dont have one yet, and when i do get one, will have to figure out exactly how to integrate a duct, to cover the hole you guys are going to have to cut
stay tuned! may have a left side duct out of the mold tomorrow…
no problem. i actually have a few of those made already, but not quite up to the standard that i would really want to sell to people… but, i am remaking that (right side) mold next week. i should have full sets going soon!
I’ll purchase one of those molds you have already made. I’m just gonna paint it flat black anyways so let me know if you’d like to sell one of those molds you already have.
integra_hot : not entirely sure you are getting the idea of what these are - these are carbon “ducts”, that sit flush on the bumper air inlet, as a cover. it doesnt re-shape it in any manner, just pretty much there for aesthetics. that being said, i dont know why you would want to paint it to match the color of the bumper, when you could just leave it off, and you would see the color of the bumper anyways… i think people want these because they are contrasting carbon fiber.
the design of our bumpers, however, prevents the incorporation of a properly-sized round outlet, for hi temp silicone flex tubing… you physically wouldnt be able to install it, even if i could find a way to mold it… haha.
you can just see the rear plastic duct sections behind the bumper parts. i can include those as part of the sets if people want, or you can find them on ebay as well.
thanks for all the support guys! ill be makin more sets this week.
no, didnt make them, i have some prefab’d ABS plastic ones, that i can include with the front pieces if people want. i may do it in the future, but for now, the front ducts are hard enough, and the plastic ones actually fit pretty close to the size & shape of the opening…
