Hey guys,
I bought a Godspeed air intake im trying to put on and replace my stock one on a 1990 GS. The problem is there are 3 chords that go to the air intake, There is one large one from the valve cover(Witch i have on the air intake) Than there are 2 small ones that go above the large one. The problem is my air intake doesn’t have any place to put toughs wires? Should i drill holes into the intake for them? Or are they not important? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Discover the search bar in the upper right corner of the screen.
if you follow those 3 lines you will sde where they go and be able to make an informed decision as to what to do with them. You also need to download a fsm and actually use it.
i believe what your talking about one being the PCV , one being either the airboost valve or the dashpot, and possibly a coolant hose that are all connected on this metal tubing … you arent talking about electrical wires are you?
Yes, please use proper terminology…
A WIRE is a conductor of electricity…
A HOSE is a tube that air or fluid flows through…
Getting basic things like that straight will help a TON for people trying to help you.
We can’t SEE what you are looking at so do your best at being descriptive.

If you have VAC lines going into the intake and the one you bought didn’t have places to put these I would say it’s common sense to make them fit into it. They are there for a reason.
Like DA_all_day said, if you trace the hoses, you will be able to deduce a way to re-route them to make it all kosher. It’s not that difficult.
AHhh the joys of people getting cheap intakes & stuff that seem to never have the proper connections for cars they make them for…
most knock offs have the larger hose that runs to the VC
then the common fix for the smaller hoses is to run a T connector to the single small hole…
If you were to “delete” one of the lines the line to the dashpot can be safely left disconnected.
