What I’m trying to do is install multiple extra DEI sensor’s to the alarm, but I’m not entirely sure how to do this. I’ve read up on diode isolating and other stuff so if someone (probably FCM  ) could clarify that would be great!!
Here are the sensor’s I want to use:
Included shock sensor
DEI glass break sensor
DEI proximity sensor
possibly DEI tilt sensor
I don’t know if this will affect anything but I’m also using the included hood pin and DEI battery back-up
What I’m wondering is if I can just connect all the instant and warn-away inputs into the shock sensor input (and run ground and power independently) or is there something else I need to do
Sorry for all the rambling, I hope I’m making sense
Yes you can, “I’m wondering is if I can just connect all the instant and warn-away inputs into the shock sensor input (and run ground and power independently”, and yes you will, "or is there something else I need to do
"
you will need need to install a diode on each sensors trigger lead before it connects to the alarm, this will isolate the sensors from each other.94
I have another alarm related question however…
For wiring up aftermarket actuator’s, DEI say’s i’m supposed to use 2 relay’s (shown here) My question is what is going between 85 and 86, or is that just built into the relay? Thanks
That would be the relays coil, the only other thing you would put between #85 and #86 would be a diode, it helps prevent arcing at the high current contacts, shown as arrows on #87 and #87a.
