Alarm

Got a python 100hf
old alarm
today i went to get my remote programmed and they said the alarm didnt wanna go into programming mode. soo am i screwed what can i do?

Do you mean the Python 1000HF, there is no 100HF.

If so, there are two possibilities, [other then a defective brain]…

1- Alarms ign. lead, [H1/9 yellow, ign. input] is not connected.
2- The program jumper, [under sliding “door”] is in the valet position, [lock-out] and needs to be moved to the learn position.

I guess there is a third possibility, valet button is not plugged in or is defective. 94

OK FCM everything is normal took pics to show.
I remeber from an earlier post you told me about turing the ing. then pressing the valet button, then hold and you hear a chirp and while holding your valet press the remote button and you should hear one chirp. all of this worked for me (im pretty sure i did it right because my remote responds to the alarm)
but i dont know how to make it go off… ?

Make it go off???94

:dance:my bad. I meant that i thought you can make the siren go on by kicking the tire or moving the car you know just to make sure it works… but i found out yesterday it dose because some kids were playing by it and it went off.
Thanks for all the help FCM with all your help my da went from ugly to beautiful.

OIC, trigger the alarm.

If impact sensor is installed and adjusted properly you should be able to trigger the warn a way by kicking a tire hard, but not full alarming mode.

Soft impact on the body of the car, [or glass] should trigger warn a way and a harder or continuous impact should trigger full alarming mode.

Rocking, [moving] the car should do nothing, it is an impact sensor, you would need a motion or tilt sensor to trigger alarm if car is rocked/moved.

Opening any door should trigger the alarm same for the hood if pin switch was installed, and trunk/hatch if wired.94

yea i tried rocking it nothing happened.
it did a little chirp when i opened the door.
I havent tried the hatch tho
but i think the alarm works.

Opening the door should get you more then a little chirp, alarm should go into full alarming mode.94

yea well maybe im not arming it right. when i open the trunk and it was armed it went off. idk though

When you open the door do you get just one chirp or is it more then one, like a countdown, chirp, chirp, chirp and so on?
The door trigger on the Python 1000HF is “two stage” starting with a warn a way and then going to full alarming. 94

i guess it works. lol bout to put in some power locks so might be asking some questions.
