all kinds of issues NEED HELP!!!

Hi,
I have a 90 Integra RS, this is my 6th DA but first one under a 92. It is a clean car, unmolested. I checked compression and all cylinders were around 160psi. Now the problems, since I bought it a few months ago it has a hesitation everytime I push the gas until it gets past 3000rpms. Also it eats gas like a race car except it is stock. I smell fuel inside the car while I drive and when I get in before I start it. The guy I bought it off said he replaced the distributor, fuel pump, cat, exhaust, wires, and plugs. I put new plugs in because it was not getting fuel, the plugs were white. I replaced the fuel filter also. The car still eats gas and the hesitation is still there. Any help would be great.

Bad:
Car hesitates
Eats gas
Idles rough
Jumping idle
Sluggish

Replaced by me:
Spark plug wires
Fuel pump
Main relay

Supposedly replaced by previous owner:
Cat
Wires
Distributor
Exhaust
Fuel pump

o2 sensor

generally your plugs should be a reddish brown… WHite plugs could indicate head gasket issues… this could also lead to a fouled out o2 sensor.

suggest you see a mechanic and have a block test done. just to rule that out. Definitely change your plugs and replace the o2 sensor as Bryan pointed out.

I smell fuel inside the car while I drive and when I get in before I start it.

That’s where I’d start, seems like an important issue considering gas is flammable. you shouldn’t smell any gas before you even start the car.
leads me to believe you could be leaking gas somewhere, if not liquid at least vapors.

I can smell a tiny bit of gas when i get a bit heavy on the pedal, and i can see a bit of smoke come out the exhaust. i figure im due for something simple but i don’t know what it will be.
I thought mine was eating gas upon acceleration, but i did the math in my head and it seems to be pretty close to the original estimated MPG, maybe a little better some days, worse other days.

Thank you for all your info guys. Also it is throwing two codes: 5 and 43. One is MAP sensor code and the other is the Fuel System Supply. I changed the MAP sensor and replaced all the vacuum hoses to it and the code is still there. Any ideas or anyone ever have this issue?
