I just installed two rear Alpine Type-R 6.5 Coaxials. The sound is clean and the bass is pretty good. It’s powered by an Alpine 9807 HU. I also got another pair for the fronts, but they won’t fit. The mounting depth is 2 3/4. The magnets are huge and the speaker dome is also huge. Just a warning for anyone looking fit Alpine Type-R’s in the front.
They’ll fit, make a small spacer and it’ll fit fine, that or cut the basket.

You guys don’t understand. The speaker doesn’t even fit inside the stock basket. Yes, I will have to cut the rear of the basket, but I’m going to have to find a way to fit the speaker inside the basket.
