185-65-14’s work. they come standard on civic’s. not as good as a tire as the 195-60’s usually, but they work… this is currently what i have on my car. (man the stock civic firestone’s are shitty tires! squeal around ever corner! man i miss my potenza re730’s)
I was thinking more of a wider tire maybe???
ah… thats good. i just figured you were like a lot of other people here and just needed some cheap tires to get you by for the moment.
as for wider tires. there really isn’t that much available in the 195-60-14 relm. There may be some that are a little wider that you can find, but chances are that if you find some wide ones they are gonna be full race tires.
also, don’t stress so much about width. I would concentrate a lot more on tread compound and tire design. Also, one thing i should mention is that the advertised width and the real width are not necessarily the same thing. Just be cause a tire says 195 doesn’t mean its 195, it might be wider or narrower than other 195’s out there. For example, i have some 195-55-15’s, they are MUCH wider than my 195-60-14’s. They are wider because they are a performance tire… and typically the performance tires will be a little wider and lower profile than a more street tire of the same size. And my 195-55’s are plenty wide. Plus the tread compound on them makes them an awesome tire! they handle sooooo good! (right not i’m riding on the cheap firestones like i said…man these tires suck).
one really good tire out there is the Falken Azenis. They can be had for about $200 for a set of 195-60-14’s. They are gonna be wider than normal 195’s. And from what i hear from other members and friends is that these tires kick ass! super grippy! but don’t expect them too last a super long time (but thats ok, because they cost about 1/2 what you’d expect to pay for tires that stick so good).
i have a new set of 205/60/14 Goodyear eagle ga’s im not gonna use if your interested.
watch out trying to go with a much wider tire on a stock wheel because in high speed conering, or emergency situations where you might need to swerv out of the way to avoid an accident, the tire can sometimes dismount itself from the wheel and that will suck.
Yeah Ill check out those Falkens…
Im gonna buy some rims soon but just need tires for now. Im new to the whole Integra thing but I am liking it!!
I have a 1990 LS that I got for free. I only had to get a tranny for it so I got it going for like 800 bucks! Its pretty clean too. So Ive parked my stang and its collecting dust now…LOL I love this TEG. So Ill be doing the motor soon too.
Thx for the help!

Question…
My brain has been dead for awhile now and I can’t think…
I have two sets of tires… one stock ‘195/60/14’ and the other being ‘185/65/14’…
would the two sets be the exact same size in diameter other than the width of the tire?
hmmm
