Just need some info on rebuilding this alternator and if it is even useful to bother or not.
Right, well the pulley was seized, I viced it and used a ratchet to get it moving, next I get it to Auto-Zone to have it tested and the stator/diode fails.
The question I have is would it be more costly to buy a new stator with a rebuild kit or just buy another refurbished alt? And if there is a cheap way to replace the stator what should I use to remove the pulley lock nut? Been having a problem trying to remove the lock nut with some wrenches as they don’t have a good angle for what I seem to need.
And any links to an oem stator would help, I’m still looking but I can’t seem to find one yet.
