Ok now I live in Alaska so prices are very very different but I was told by a Honda/Acura Parts dealer that yes you can get a higher out put alt by buying and alt the goes to the Engine that you have but has the AC power to it. This should give you a 90 instead of the stock 50 -70 from what he said…i really don’t understand it. he says that the alt that he gave me because mine is still stock.

Ahhh–A Solution to the Problem
PROBLEM–Our alternators are fine stock. Its when we add all of our systems, and neons, and etc to them that electrical system can’t handle it.
SOLUTION–Our alternators are rated at (I think) 75 amps. If you go to yuor local Auto Zone or Advanced Auto or whatever, you can order a Performance alternator (I think its the alternaotr from the CRV or the MDX, one of the two, rated at 110 amps).
The only thing you have to do is change the pulleys on them as the new alternators pulley is gonna be different. I’ve already done it, and don’ thave any more problems.
