Ok so I have a fog kit I want to mount and wire up but dont know if I want to splice in to my current headlight fogs or not… I have the jdm 1pc and plugs so i dont want to overload them and met the plugs or burn fuses…
The new fogs kit comes with Piaa 55w h3 bulbs and its own wires, fuse and switch…
I dont really want to run them off a after market switch since it would take away the oem look in my dash… Is there a way I can give them there own power source and have them light up when i turn on my 1pc fogs. I want to be able to turn them all off when I turn off my head lights, reason is that I tend to leave my lights on since im always rushing…
I havent mess with the oem fogs so they still only turn on with the headlights…
ok so I went ahead and did my own leg work on figuring out my electical and setup…
I decided to you my stock cruise control switch for the fogs instead of the ugly cheap swich thats provided inthe kit.
I pulled out my entire cruise control a while back so the switch was non-op, it also saved me from cutting a hole in the cluster to mount a spare switch…
any who heres a pic of the finished product, Ive been getting bad feedback from friends saying that the fogs just dont go with the g2 so let me know what you think…
here are some pics of how I wired up the fogs…
first I mounted the fogs into position then bolted the ground wires on each side onto a nearby bolt that was in the chassy, if you look around youll find a 10mm bolt some where.
then I grabbed the + power wire and jointed/spliced them to eaze the cabel running, one wire is eazier than two.
After you safely run the wire in the cabin make sure you didnt nik of unplug anything from the wire you just ran…
my fog kit came with a fuse so I added that into the wire i ran and will use the fused wire end to hook up to my power source.
(this next step requires you to safley remove your instrument panel, i think you can find a how to in the teg tips.)
after removing the panel you can unplug the cruise control switch from the back, you will see a light green wire that you need to cut like this.
Make sure you leave 3" or more of wire to work with, then I connected the fused power cable to the light green wire coming out of the plug.
After connecting the fogs wire to the light green your going to notice that the other end of light green wire is still there. I actually wrapped it with tape and tucked it away. It doesnt have any power so its safe.
Last is to plug the switch back to the plug, turn your ignition on and test your fogs, if all is well then you can start putting everything back…
Best thing about this method with the cruise control switch is that the switch will only power your fogs when the ignition is open or if the car is on, that way you wont drain your bat if your forget to turn them off. they also function as running lights with out needing to ues your headlights.
And you wont struggle looking for the switch at night since the cruise button has its own light…
Enjoy your new sleeper oem looking fogs inside and outside the car…
ok so it seems like the cruise control switch is to week to handle the load for the two fogs, it keeps burning out and I have to replace it everytime.
If I use a relay to power my fogs and control it with my cruise control swich how may amps or watts should my relay be? both foggs are 55wx2…
There some open spots in the fuse box (inside the car) just tap the power off there that how that do alarms bumper poles, rear fogs
i put mine below the bumper lights but i like how u did yours in the middle looks good:rockon:
also on mine since i dont have 1piece i deleted the stock fogs and made one of them a air duct wanted to try something new but again it looks good where you put them
yeah I like them in that same spot under the oem fogs but dont know if its to much.
Most off the shelf relays are 35 amps-12volt which is plenty. I’m surprised the kit didn’t have a relay in it. Here are some relay diagrams to help, they’re for an alarm but I’m sure you get the idea. Just use your CC switch for a trigger.

Hope that helps.

i like where you put yor fogs, OP not so much. they look out of place. Every integra i have owned has had the 90-91 bumper put on it and fogs under the turnsignals.
where are you guys getting the fogs from? walmart? harbor freight?
I got mine from wall mart, it came down to the ones I got and a smaller version…
i got my fogs from autozone
