Amp ground wire ?

Just a quick question with regards to the ground wire for an amp. Does it need to be a short wire? Is there a preferred length? I don’t think there is, but just looking for a 2nd opinion

it just needs to be bolted into the chassis. mine have always been as short as possible just for the hell of it but i have seen some pretty long ones as well. r u not getting a solid ground?

Amp grounds should be kept as short as reasonably possible, if it needs to be longer to reach a better ground point then make it longer,

Amps should be grounded to the floor-pan of the car, seat and seat belt bolts work very well as will any bolt or stud that allows ground ring terminal to come in contact with the floor-pan, the contact area should be cleaned/sanded to bare metal.
Ground cable terminals should be soldered to the cable, same goes for the power cable terminals.;)94

The grounding of amps should be as short as possible with the largest wire as possible. Should be around 4 guage if you can get it to work. If not, you can create a grounding block network by using a 4 guage wire into a power distribution block, and run 8 guage to the equipment. But the ground should be bolted to the pan of the car.
