So everytime I’m driving I hear this annoying whistling noise coming from my engine bay but I can’t seem to figure out exactly what is causing this noise. Its on from the moment I start my car and it just stays on, and when i hit the gas it just gets louder. If anyone has any ideas what this could be please help.
Do you have an intake?
i think its the intake, or intake manifold…i have a b16 swap with the wrong manifold on it and that thing whistles like a canary lol:clap:
This may be over simple; It’s not a bad ground and the whistle is coming from your speakers?
How about a vacuum leak:whisper:
This is caused by the openning and closing of the butterfly valve in the throttle body. You only hear the whistling at certain throttle/rpm right?
Well its got an AEM cold air intake but it wasn’t making that noise when I first put it on. Its definitely isn’t coming from the speakers. Its a constant whistling noise that just gets louder as I hit the gas.
very obvious but sometimes overlooked, are you sure it isnt just a belt or pully?
chances are its a vacum leak… i ran my car without the intake for a couple minutes and it sounded boosted… check to see if all your hoses are connected properly, and the intake is snug, check throttle body gasket or the intake manifold gasket but then again you would be leaking fuel… good luck
I heard sume where (cant seem to remember) that it can also be your distributor!!:whisper: really %100 sure but im sure with your problem, all knowledge is welcome :read:
Thanx i’ll check all that out today.
has to be coming from your turbo i have the same problem
My AEBS intake manifold whistles.
could it be that ‘whistle’ exhaust plug you bought and installed??
