My abs light is on and I don’t have the cash to go get checked out now. I was wondering if I could shut the warning light off some how.
Thanks

Check all of your fuses and see if any are blown. If that doesn’t solve it, come back here again…
Oz
check your brake fluid in the abs res. when it gets low it will make that light come on. hth
Check your break pads too, mine went on when my breaks were down to about 15%. My fluid was also low at the time too, so it was most likely the fluid level.
REMOVE THE BULB FROM THE BACK OF THE CLUSTER…easy fix:ok:
Pull the hand brake up 4 clicks, drive for a quarter mile, the ABS system will shut off and the light will go out. Untill you shut the car off and restart it. Then you get to do it all over again!

Not exactly…
This procedure will disable the ABS (When it is working correctly). But the ABS Light WILL stay on (To warn you that the ABS has been Disabled).
The ONLY way to turn OFF the light (Other than fixing the ABS system) is to physically disconnect it.
The signal from the ABS computer that turns on the light is (-), so even taking out the ABS fuses will still cause the light to remain on.
There is a Teg Tip (written by me) In the Engine section called “Diagnosing ABS problems” that will show you what is wrong with the ABS system. You can then decide if it is something you can fix yourself, or if it is something major and you choose to just put the ABS light out of it’s Misery!! :gun2:
