Another Big install day for the DB2 @ the 1qckG2tegs garage

Well to start off with I got to give BIG PROPS to all that helped out today!

First of all to Mr. Dorey for making the morgage on the house that the garage is attached to that gave us the place to werk on the racecar. Ms. Dorey for making the bestest grilled cheese sandwich evar! (nothing beats a grilled cheese sandwich!) Ryan for having the guts to take on another project of mine. Pete for being a great guy and helpin out big tyme. THANKS GUYS!!

Anyways I REALLY needed to replace the brakes. I ordered Brembo OEM replacements all around and got Axxis Metal Master pads for em’ from NOPI. We even decided to install my ST sways and Ben Ogle lower tie bar.

Here is all the good stuff ready to be installed…

Here are the guys getting ready to break stuff…

Here is the rotor that was the worst…

A closer view… its baaaad real baaaaad…

The pad that caused the damage…

On to the new stuff. The new front rotor and pads…

The new rear…

BREAKTIME!! Whew! Nothing like a cold drink to cool off after replacing broken stuff…

Here is the rear ones side by side

Here is the front bar installed. You can still see the dirt on some places from when I was rallying at the Homestead meet. Man was my shiz dirty after that one…:stuck_out_tongue:

NO install day would be complete without someone doing the “options” pose infront of the Aztec…

not hard at all, we used regular hand tools to break them sometime and then the air tools to speed the process of removal

the turbojeep and the Torino were there in sprit!

YOU SONS O’ BEECHES!!! YOU DID’NT CALL ME AGAIN, EVEN AFTER I BITCHED AT YOU’S THE LAST TIME!!! oh, thats it… i’m pissed now!!!

and dwayne… even when you called me and thought you were calling ryan(puff, puff, give), you did’nt even invite me!!!

i woulda been there too. i did’nt have shit to do last night.

 …WORD TO YOUR MOTHER!!!

sorry steve, my bad dawg. I guess if you would have come I would have both of the caliper mounting bolt on my drivers side!!!..:frowning:

I drove all the way across town today and I got to my friends house and on the way it started to make a noise. So we pulled off the wheel and the caliper was loosely attached with ONLY ONE of the bolts out of the 2!!!:frowning: :frowning:    :argh: :whoa: :uhoh: :tsk:

How about you guys drive down to Miami and help me put on my 5 lug and advan rims in to weeks. Here is a list of what i got

Adavan RC here is a pic of them.

Brembo sloted rotors, steal braided brake lines, and of course the 5 lug suspension i need help putting up the rear traling arms.

WHos down for a mini meet at my hause.

man, i feel left out, but no biggie.
hey ryan can i come to ur house for rotor and pad install on all four?

dwayne was it a 2 hr drive?

Dwayne and Ryan … two peas in a pod …

any impressions on the new handling pieces…(can i follow u into a corner? )
any improvement with braking …?

The brakes are MUCH better! The inital bite of the Axxis pads are great, and they arent as noisy as I was expecting either. As for the sways I can’t really say much because my tires are my weak link in my supension now. (all 4 are different brands) Other than I dont scrape mud flaps as much anymore. So Im trying to get off my dead ass and sell the Racing Harts so I can get some LS wheels with falkens.

Oh yeah I got and installed my Ben Ogle C-pillar bar also! WERD! It is a solid piece and I really like it!

does he still make those bars?

dwayne… i hope u put them 18’s on the car and take some pics and post 'em up b4 u sell them … i would like to see them ‘tuck’

oh yeah he does! I recieved it on thursday last week and installed the same day! I was waiting on his sig to change like last time and got sold out. So on a hunch I did a search in the for sale forum and got lucky!

hayden: yeah, I need to do that also, hopefully Ill be able to get around to it with my “busy” schedule:p
