Another bogging/hesitating thread?

New here, looked around and seen plenty of other people with the same/similar problem but still haven’t found a solution.
The car is a 92 integra with a (jdm?)B20B. Traded it for my 95 ej2 a few weeks ago and it ran fine until one day it started hesitating and losing power on the freeway. It only did it a little at first but progressively got worse over a few days.
Now it’s to the point where I can’t even drive the car. I’ll push on the throttle and sometimes it will rev up and then other times it will bog down to the point of almost dying and then finally rev up after a few seconds.

Anyway I’ve tried a different known working igniter in the distributor,
New o2 sensor,
Checked the timing,
cleaned the IAT,
Replaced and calibrated the TPS sensor (originally what the code was for),
Replaced the spark plugs,
checked and rechecked all the vacuum lines and intake manifold for leaks
I know it’s not a clogged cat because I just put a new Magnaflow on it after the problem started

before I start throwing more parts at it I would really like to get an idea of what it could be.

I’m still suspect of the distributor and wires and especially the map sensor.

Any help is greatly appreciated! I really wanna drive this thing again

could be a fuel issue but i would go map sensor first…

could be distributor as well… MAP sensor is cheap fix as long as you get a used one from a junkyard… a new one from oreilly’s last I checked was something rediculous ( like 400 bucks rediculous)

When you checked timing did you jump the service connector on the ECU? you could very well have a failig coil unit in the distributor causing your issue, or a wiring fault… My opinion after going through a couple “new” coils that went bad in shot time out of the box from oreillys was be to replace the distributor entirely and have a lifetime warranty LOL…

I do know there is a resistance check you can run on the coil you have ( using a digital multimeter) to see if it is out of spec forget exact steps, but too much resistance through the coil can cause an erratic spark & issues like you are describing. just google around and you can find the info.

I keep coming back to the distributor but money is the problem right now. I might try to find someone with a working one and see if that makes a difference. It seems like it could be anything at this point though… everything I thought it would be, it wasn’t.

For the map sensor I might just grab a couple from the junkyard and see if that makes any difference.

Thanks for the help guys I’ll keep working at it.
