Anyone Familiar with Jensen Vm9022TS Touchscreen Radio

I originally had a Jensen VM9021TS Head unit. It would play MPEG and DIVX movies and music videos from the DVD, or from the SD card.

I upgraded to the newer VM9022TS Model that has the same features (or so I thought) plus Bluetooth, USB, and a few other goodies.

With the 9022, I can’t figure out how to play videos from the SD card or USB. The buttons for pics and videos show up on the screen just like they do for the DVD, but when I push them, I get the “NO” symbol on the screen. All I can play from the SD card and USB (thumbdrive / hard drive) is music.

If the buttons weren’t there, I’d assume Jensen dropped that functionality in the new unit (which would suck), but since the buttons for pics / video appear on the screen (taunting me), I’m hoping I’m just missing something like “files need to be in a special directory”, or something sily like that.

I’ve googled forever and can’t find anything about this.

And Yes… I read the manual, LOL. No mention of whether it can or not.

Anyone have this radio and care to comment?

i had this same problem. i eventually got rid of the unit ( not for that reason ) maybee try a different file format like mpeg-4 or something. i also tried to get videos to play from the card and the usb. i did get pics from the card though.

just found my manual on my computer. i had the 9512. had the same problem though and it drove me crazy. i ended up making some vcd’s.
