Anyone know of any good write-ups / howtos for replacing a knock sensor?

I need to replace the knock sensor in my car,
it is a 1992 Acura Integra GS w/ JDM B18C motor w/ Blox Intake Manifold.

The knock sensor is an easy part, when the motor is out of the car.

Was wondering if there are any write-ups or howtos, for replacing it while in the car.

I’d like to replace it easily without removing the intake manifold if possible, what is my best option?

seems like going from under would be the easiest way

going from under is the easy way. i removed my oil filter to give me more room i have fat hands. it wasnt bad at all. def the way to go plus if ur car needs a oil change do it while your under there. i believe the size for the knock sensor is 22mm. i used a deep socket and a rachet.

it took me two weeks, but I finally managed to fit my hand behind/under/between the skunk2 intake manifold.

Using a deep 27mm–1 1/16in socket with a 6in extension I was able to break it loose from the back of the intake manifold after getting the socket on the knock sensor by hand.

Just remember it only takes like 17lbs of torque (forget exact number) but it isn’t much.

Ironically I just bought an RSX and the CEL light was on the Knock sensor malfunction, my mechanic didn’t think it was possible to do without removing the intake manifold (K motors are backwards, intake in front exhaust in rear). I showed him. Ended up taking 2 hours to use my non-Japanese size hands to get a socket on the sensor but I changed it without having to take the intake manifold off. New model, same car.
