Actually I have two things that are disconnected. The Green Plug and the female connector.
I just recently replaced my alternator but since I had a hard time removing the axle, I went the other route by going under the intake manifold. Either doing that disconnected these two things or they have been disconnected this whole time.
What are the for and where do they connect? I looked all over, from the top, from underneath, I even pulled out an extendable mirror and no luck.
Please help.
Also I’d like to add that my oil light came on this morning. I have oil.
Possible that i might have also accidentally disconnected/unplugged something oil pressure circuitry related?
Thanks again!!!
That looks like the alternator wiring to me,but ill go out and see.
Well i looked and i don’t see any other wires that look like that. The alternator has one white wire,a black wire (like the one in the pic) and a green plug like the one in the pic. So they belong to the alternator.
But my alternator is hook up properly.
If you look at the very top left of the picture, you see a green plug, it’s already hooked up to the alternator.
Thanks for looking though!

it looks like the wire that is suppose to go to that sensor above the oil filter is cut. I think that is the thermo switch for your radiator fans to come on. But, I think there are two sensors above the oil filter. One is the thermo switch and the other (I think) is oil pressure. .02$
the green plug is for the thermo sensor, IIRC, it should be located just up and to the left(drivers side) of the oil presure sensor(clip with the broken wire). this is an ODB1 motor im refering too btw.
heres a better question, why is there a speaker clip on that wire. thats not even the right kind of connector :wtf:
that green plug looks like the alternator plug, which you can see plugged into the alternator in the background. The thermo switch that I put a red box around is OBD0. The OBD1 plug for the thermo switch is not this green one that you see. It is a smaller plug and the thermo switch for OBD1 cars is located on the thermostat housing. Like you had stated BLKACK1, that speaker clip shouldnt be on that wire; it should be a male clip and there should be two female clips coming from the thermo switch.

I have no idea why there is a speaker clip on that wire. I have not messed with these wires myself. But anyway, I have connected that wire to its proper place and my blinking oil light problem went away so that we can cross that off my list of problems. See next post for next issue.
I know that that wire or plug looks like it’s been cut but it’s only an optical illusion. I assure you CerealKiller that there is a wire coming out of it, hidden by the plastic wire cover shown in this pic. the BOLD yellow line is the path of the wire.
