Anyone running MaxRev manifold

that’s a prototype.

the full-race kit comes with a tial 40mm…which is not a rayjay flange.

I wish the manufacturers would stop using the ray jay (diamond) flange design. They are to prone to warping and leaking, and even if they don’t warp they are a real pain to seal, a 4 bolt or even 3 bolt design would be way better.

someone further explain what u two are talking about???

ray jay = diamond-shaped 2-bolt flange.

some people (few and far between, but some) have experienced this type of wastegate flange not being the best (leaking, etc). a 3- or 4-bolt flange is usually a better idea for higher boosted applications…but then, if you’re boosting high enough that it might be a problem, you have already upgraded to the tial 40mm wg, in which case it’s not a problem as this gate is already so equipped.

like so:

that’s the 40mm. note the square flange, with 4 bolts.

thats a tial 46mm:)

this is the tial 40mm flange

bah…lol you’re right. i went back and re-read the straight T4 kit’s contents and yeah it’s the 46. the regular FR kit does come with the 40mm tho.

 to me not going to bed when i should have.

btw…the flanges are still both 4-bolt. :stuck_out_tongue:

now THIS is a manifold. :stuck_out_tongue:

heh [/B]

hey my friend made that manifold

who’s your friend?

geoff from full-race. the same guy that made my manifold in a couple of posts above.

geoff doesn’t make 'em. he just designs 'em.

he has a welder (lol i dunno if that means he keeps him in the basement chained to a post or what) who does it.

but the question is…do you know geoff’s last name? :stuck_out_tongue:

raicer

and are you sure he doesnt make them, because when he lived in jersey over the summer i went over his house and he was making one and there were a few others laying around. he was tack welding the manifolds together and then taking them to a great tig welder to get them welded.

maybe now that he is in AZ he has other people making them, now that he has full-race all set up.

lol i know internet ay, i was just joshin’ ya.

geoff designs and probably constructs the manifold’s basic shape, i was just being a picky little bastard. :stuck_out_tongue:

hell yeah:D

anyway. the max rev mani is:cool:

hehe i’ve tried all 3, it’s no big deal tho cause i know how busy he is. quality is always worth the wait.
