Like the title says, anyone running one want to share their experience? Worth the money? Good design? Seems like the only one with enough clearance and that braces at 3 points. Anyways, anyone with one please chime in. And no need for cheap bastards to chime in about the price or how their ebay one works just the same…Take that crap to facebook groups
i would say go for it. i was in the market for one myself for quite some time until i couldnt find one for the price i wanted to pay. i dont think pwjdm offers them anymore though. theyre listed on the site but it wont let you add it to the cart.
the design seems to be legit and it looks wayyyy good. i would imagine it would perform as well as any 3pt bar honestly. i think its a good buy but not for 200+. if you can get it for 1xx then take the leap.
My brother had one on his EG a while back, the quality was pretty good. I say go for it.
I love mine. Bought it second hand from a friend of mine. Only thing you would have to do is relocate the map sensor bracket. It’s definitely a good buy.
alright thanks guys. exactly the info I was looking for. I’ll start my search for one now. thanks for the heads up da all day.
small update: ordered the bar through a pwjdm dealer without issues. should arrive in a week. went with the black version. couldn’t argue with the price I paid plus I needed a couple more things from them for my db1 so worked out a package deal.
I have one of these bars (that I also bought secondhand and haven’t installed so I can’t comment on how much improvement it makes) but I’m not too impressed with the overall quality of it. They use a very soft aluminum which has obviously been deformed at the mounting points from the previous install. The welds at the shock mounts are cracked slightly and really none of the bolt holes line up. The previous owner either enlarged them a bit to make it fit or the bolt holes have been stretched. Not trying to dishearten you on your purchase, just commenting on the one I have. There is a possibility they’ve upgraded their materials/technique since mine was made.
I really wish Carbing made a bar for our cars. I’d gladly shell over the money for one of those. Even with the things I mentioned, it’s still probably one of if not the best bar available for our chassis. There aren’t any other 3 points available that I’m aware of.
PWJDM pissed me off since their one piece headlight harnesses suck ass
thanks for the input about your bar. I’ll make sure to update with fitment and quality. if the welds are cracked you better get it re done or inspected. no point in running that if it’s broken.
no comment on the jdm 1 piece harness. way off topic and I always wire in the jdm harness
On topic: I haven’t noticed any issues like poor fitment or broken welds with mine.
Off topic: I haven’t had a single issue with their conversion harness for the headlights. Not a one.
Thats kind of what I figured too. Have not found anyone other then here to say that.

i’m on my 2nd set and i refuse to buy another set…i’m just going to hardwire mine in, i’m going to look for a soldering iron
Weird man. Mine work perfectly. My only headlight issue is a mildly dim foglight bulb.
yea and they refused to swap out…i’m just gonna hard wire mine in (soldering) very soon
That’s probably what I will do as well if mine ever stop working.
i wonder if it would fit with my kswap and k tuned ram header ???

Yeah mine weren’t the greatest!
Did you have to remove the dashpot to make the strut bar fit?
got one on mine… im thinkijg of selling it lol
How tight does that fit on the brake fluid reservoir?
