Anyone have a comptech 4-2-1 header on a DA? If so which one i.e. 94-97 gsr… 98-01?.. and what modifications did you need to make for it to fit… thanks

Those years that you mention are not from Comptech USA.

They have a 00-01 GSR/97-01 ITR/94-01 Non-VTEC and a 94-99 GSR header.

I installed a 210-001 onto a 92 GS-R without any modifications.

it will bolt up to the block with no problem. But you will need to modify you’re stock piping to allow it to fit.

Vern’s OEM cat but yes, an OEM GS-R cat.

i have the ITR header, but i’ve yet to put it on my car. It’s been on DA’s before mine so yes, it will fit with some modification to your exhaust length.

i appreciate it Archon… by the way, whats the difference between the 210-001 and 210-002? Other than the years? and size differences? lengths?

I’d give them a call for that answer. The Comptech header is a terrific piece of hardware. I wish I jumped on that deal.

will the different locations of the o2 sensor cause a huge problem? I took a look at my stock header and it seems to be a lot longer than my comptech ITR header. I haven’t had time to put it on yet. And i have to make a test pipe as well.

will this header clear the crossmember if i have a b20b or is it only refer to a 1-piece header that doesnt fit? Im looking for a aftermarket header to install on my b20b teg.

does it clear the crossmember? i found one for $100 with a minor dent…so no need to extend anything? he says it’s for a gs-r. I have a 92 gs-r with oem cat, rs*r exmag with the extension piece. any confirmation/help with be definately appreciated.

yes, it clears the xmember prefectly. Buy the header if you like dented stuff…

well it seems like the dent is pretty minor…will it affect the performance? do you think it’s worth it for $100? i mean, i don’t really mind the dent because i know i’ll end up denting it anyways…but yeah…lmk

it should be fine and wont rob you power if ur setup is farly i/h/e

the ITR comptech fits with no mods i believe, don’t know about the length of the GSR one.
