Anything I Should Know About Master Cylinder Install???

there anything in specific that i should know about the replacement/install of a new master cylinder…my cousin and i are replacing my sisters master cylinder in her G2…and just wanted to know anything that might be difficult/easy…or any tips you have to offer…

i do have a haynes manual which explains…and i have the helms manual that i downloaded from someones site on here…

only thing i’m not sure about is the part about putting it in a vice to get the air out…and something about the piston in the master cylinder itself and any adjustment it may need?

I did mine not too long ago and it was simple RnR. You may want to bench bleed it though. That is you put it over the sink with the resevor on, put some fluid in it and pump a few times to make sure the fluid’s worked into the MC.

Other than that, it’s easy.

I just did mine the other day…make sure not to press the brake while the master cylinder is off!

CarQuest bastards gave me messed up bench bleeding adapters again! i had to rethread it…
