are the OBX radiator hoses worth getting? if so, who has the best prices?
the only other ones I’ve heard of are the $80-100 Samco ones
I saw both on ebay auctions.
feedback???
I’m replacing my stock radiator with an all metal CSF brand and I don’t think that the hoses have ever been replaced - so, I’m trying to figure out what to use.
I’ve never had any problems with OBX. I had an OB exhaust and for the price that I paid, I was more than happy.
Just remember, you get what you pay for. In most cases. Other times, you are stuck paying horrible amounts of money just for a brand name. Such as AEM intakes. $150 for an intake just makes me laugh, but people continue to buy it.
AEM makes sense if you use the whole Greddy/AEM setup. AEM intake, Greddy header, Greddy exhaust.
People buy AEM intakes for the CARB sticker. Cause in places (like here in California for example) your intake has to be CARB legal to pass smog. So for a lot of people it’s worth just paying the money rather then having to worry about taking it on and off every time you smog.
yea i have the obx radiator hoses on minez cuse i recently changed my radiator. The hoses i must say look nice but the upper hose seems to have a problem sealing properly. The lower one is fine with no coolant seeping out. But after multiple tries the top hose still has a bit of coolant coming out. It might be that its a little TOO thick and not flexible enough. So yea might want to think twice. I have an OBX greddy sp style muffler and the thing is great and well worth it, and their spark plug wires are kewl…i have the whole red hose and wire thing going under my hood. So yea There are some good products and some not so good…its just for cosmetics so really if you dont care…go with OEM hoses that you know will work.
