ok just throwing this out there, i’ve personally never seen an armrest i’ve seen tons of pictures some in good shape some missing the “halo” what i’m wondering is what exactly breaks on these the arms, the halos them selves, the mounting points on the armrest?
what i’m getting to is i might be able to remanufacture the whole upper assembly that springs out to form the cup holder, unless ofcourse the armrest mount itself is what breaks. i’m planning on buying an armrest soon and i won’t buy one unless its complete i know it will cost more but its for R&D purposes. 
if anyone has looked into this and found it impossible please let me know so i don’t waste my time

You can just drill out the hole where the cup sits on and it’s all good to go… no need to fab an arm for it. Some members have done it and it works great…
