Considering that the mounting point for the cupholder worked well, I’ve begun work on using this same point for a new armrest design. One that doesn’t require tapping the metal underneath and using existing mounting points. Maybe it will eventually morph into including cupholders, but I’m just focusing on mounting and strength, and seat clearance first. Stay tuned for more.

A member liked this, so I feel like I should update. I did work on a new design but it has been put on the backburner. I have prioritized smaller projects that can get out quicker to the community (see other threads in this forum).
This thing is a BEAST to model properly so that it can support the weight of an arm or two.
