^What was wrong with the last meets? We had more than 3 cars show up (for the first time in over 3 years). The first meet was poorly planned and those that planned it didn’t even show (I did not set that one up). That one was on a cold, dark night and we had still had 19 cars show which was way more than I expected. The last meet would have probably been bigger had we not had all the tornadoes and hail going on, but we actually had 18 DA’s show (one left before pictures and the other one showed up late). Anyone else would have probably canceled that one, but I convinced some people to show up and it cleared up just in time (but most chickened out). If I recall correctly, you didn’t show up to that one. What specifically were you disappointed in? The weather? The quality of the cars? It’s hard to get nice cars out on a cold night or during a storm.
i was just wondering… if the meet on april 19th dont go well, would you guys be willing to make a trip to charlotte, nc to do a meet to make a run to deals gap/ dragons tail in nc in the second weekend of may after the 10th. If so post up and let me know.

^Most of the guys that attend the Atlanta meets primarily post on the meet thread on Import Atlanta (though most are also members on here). As previously stated, I thought the previous meets went quite well. I don’t think that if there was a really bad turnout that anyone would be interested in going to a meet further away. I personally don’t want to get involved with all of the mess up at Deals Gap, and it would not work as a substitute for an Atlanta meet. I mean, we have guys complaining about the Varsity that is in the middle of downtown. Honestly, the best way to get some participation from Atlanta guys would be to coordinate it with an Import Atlanta mountain run (don’t know if any DA’s regularly participate).

Look, my part in all this does not really matter, but the simple fact of any meet in any city can come into conflict with people and their bull$#!t excuses and decisions on attending a meet. We out here in Dallas, Texas have the same issues and excuses. There is only that few who (if any) are loyal to commit to activities such as these who are trying to keep the movement going. If you are not going to attend, then dont attend. Dont piss on the last meet because of quality of DAs or attendance. We know that weather can effect a meet or people have other things planned in their life that may detour your chance to attend, but dont send messages of something that was not in control.
since the love for g2’s are running strong in atlanta… I wish the best for your meet and hope you get a good turn-out and good weather. Maybe after my meet at deals gap and my DB1 is still running strong maybe i will take that trip out there and meet up with some g2 atlanta drivers and show some love, because i have never been to ATL before.
i’d love to go, but unfortunately like the last meet i have to work that weekend. :down: i work every other weekend fri, sat, sun.
i actually attended all of the da meets phatcardesignz so far at the varsity and everytime no one wants to stay they just book out so i dont see the point in driving a hour to the varsity for 10 mins of a da meet. just my opinion
^what? 10min? You’re way over exaggerating, unless you showed up really late. I showed up about 30min late to both and was there for about couple hours. :dunno:
yeah, 10 min, is really exagerrating. I came late by 30-45min and ppl stayed for a few hours… Cars were still coming in when I left
I wanted to go so bad but unfortunately after i got valve painted and matching aem intake i broke two screws on valve and bottom engine locked up so my cars in shop and instead im going to look at an engine today so i can be driving by next week…have fun and post pics so i can see wat i missed
