att: lowered cars with rims!!!!!!!

i have just lowered my car with eibach springs. they are 2in. lower and i was thinkin of gettin 17’s. ( i am completely drunk right now so if you don;t understand i’ll get back later hahhahaha) but, i was wondering if 17’s or even 16’s would fit on a teg that is lowered 2 inches. to me it doesn’ look like it so i am askin what you guys are runnin. i want to run as big as i can so haha i’m cocked sorry but tell me waht your setup is.

both will fit

they will fit fine… I’ve got 18’s with a 2 inch drop and havent had a prob yet.

I don’t know why this is such a common subject. It’s really quite simple. Plus sizing rims usually has verry little effect on the overall size of a tire. If you match the right tire with the right rim it will be ok. For instance, if your stock wheel is 14" and you tires are 195/60/14 then the overall size of the tire is 23.21", that’s 14" of rim, and 4.65" of rubber between the rim and the road. Now you want a set of 16" wheels. If you get tires that have 4.65" of side wall then your overall tire size will be 25.21", so you have to get a low profile tire. 205/45/16 will be 23.26" (only 0.05" bigger than stock).

What if you want 17’s? You guessed it, smaller side wall.

205/40/17 = 23.45" (0.24" bigger than stock)

215/35/18 = 23.93" (0.72" bigger than stock)

So measure the gap you have between the tires you have now and the fender and calculate the difference that new tires will make. You should be fine.

Steve

BTW I’d go with 15’s or 16’s max in an integra

Im using the Eibach Sportlines and 17" Rims. I used 205/45/R17’s to fill the fender gap and love it.
40 Series left too much of a gap in the fender.

18’s can fit our teg without rubbing? what about 19’s? would you need airbags?

kneeon- i have 250/40/17 do the 45 series rub? how much have you lowered it? would i get more miles from some 45’s?

To big, lol Polished sound nice though!!

Hey were you driving down Dewey avenue in Greece yesterday?? IF not, there’s a white Teg with a kid that looks like you in Greece, lol It even have fogs in the front.

hahahaha it mighta been me!!! did it have steelies and a big white eyebrow??? if so then yeahh it was me.

yeahh it was me… i was driving through the area heading toward auto finishers to get some stuff for my budddy cause we’re paintin his interior. his das htook 4hours to pull out

I have some 17x7 Centerline w/ Bridgestone Potenza SO-3 215/40/17. No Problem
Its very simple math, just find the diameter or circumfrence of the tire. The wheel doesn’t matter
I was thinking about getting a set of 15x7 Enkie RP-F1 they are only 9lbs.
Borbette wheels are heavy, for 17’s look at the new centerline Impulse 11lbs.

2.5 in drop here with 205/40/17’s and no probs so far  should work

Yeah I know they’re kind heavy, but They’ll go on the wife’s car after I save up for my Konigs Heliums. We’re looking for a 4-door Teg for her to criuse in…

Those Impulse’s are gorgeouse and a great weight. where did you get them? I cant find any pricing. I can’t go over $380 unless I wait till next year.
