ATTN: Dan RE: Modified OBX-R Testpipe

Where did you pick up the 2.5" flange for the testpipe and how much did it cost do get it done at the muffler shop? And are you also running a 2.5" flange on both sides of the OBX cat as well as on the first flange of the catback system? I hope that makes sense. Let me know. Thanks.

Leo, sorry it’s taken me so long to reply. Doing a motor rebuild this weekend. Anyway, I got my 2.5" flange from JDM Hondaparts and the exhaust shop made my 2.5" donut gasket flange (pipe) by taking a 2.25" exhaust piping and flaring it out. And I’m just using the 2.5" on the collector side. The other side is 2.25" (which came on the OBX-R). Here’s a pic of the finished product…

Let me know if you have any questions. Best of luck bud.

Cool thanks.

One more question. Isn’t the JHP’s 2.5" flange already flared? Look at the pic below.

The flange is flared…yes. I was talking about flaring the pipe to accept the collector gasket. That flare on the flange pushes on the flared out pipe. Hope that makes some sense.

Dan, I was just wondering if you know off hand what the required length is for my setup. I’m going to be running a JDM ITR 4-1. I want to get a carsound cat and have the muffler shop prepare the entire piece with the 2.5" collector flange and 2.25" stock output size without bringing the car there (since it won’t be able to have an exhaust hooked up). TIA

Rich, the proper length needs to be 17.5", but most exhaust shops will not do it without your car. It’s easier to make it fit perfect. Let me know if you have any other quesitons. Later.

Might be a dumb question but will the 94-01 integra obx high flow cats work on 90-93’s? If not…where can i PURCHASE a resonated testpipe/high flow cat that does? I tried to order one off www.ssautochrome.com-but they were out. THANKS:shy:

Is that the length from the end of the collector to the beginning of the exhaust?
