o wow i didnt know that i will have to call acura and set somthing up thank you
Not always that easy. My local dealership said that the parts needed were not under warranty. Something to do with a switch in the door.
Sorry had to bump I went to the dealer today to have my seat belts look at…
Its has been about 6 years of both my seat belts not working. I just crank them up to were i can just slip them over my head when i get in the car. Then I pulled the fuses and disconnected the seat belt control module.
l last night I plug everything back in on my way to the dealer this morning I get in my car and the drivers seat belt was working wtf. i get to the dealer its 110 to check them out. if its under warranty then I get my money back.
On my home i was thinking about why the drivers seat belt works now? oyea some one hit me 4 years ago i got the door from a junkyard.
my 91 accord the switch was built in to the door latch it mite be the same here iam going to put a new latch in my passenger door if i dont see a switch
They checked mine out for free. Even got a TSX for a loaner so I could go to work. They later called me and told me it would be like over $300 to fix it because it was something in the door latch.
x2. They got smart about this warranty, they will now charge you the inspection fee up front and only reimburse you that fee if the problem is under warranty.
They will NOT replace the door latch assembly if that is the problem, because even though some sort of signal(“door closed = ground circuit complete” is what I’m assuming) passes through it for the seatbelts…it is a door assembly part and therefore isn’t covered by the seatbelt warranty.
I tried several times to get my driver seatbelt fixed…goes forward when door is opened, does not go back when door is closed. I even threatened them with a printout of the warranty and a letter from Acura Customer Service Center…they told me the same thing over and over…“You bring it in and pay the diagnostic fee, either it’s a part not considered within the seatbelt assembly and you pay for part+labor…or it’s covered, parts+labor is free, you are refunded diagnostic fee.” Screw that, I’ll fix it myself some day.
yeah like i was saying mine dont work at all they dont go up or down and the light is on all the time and im poor lol so i dont want to have to pay someone else to fix it for me thats why i didnt know if any of you guys knew how i could go about doing by myself
