auto seat belts SUCK BALLS!, bucket seats with back passengers ok???

well my automatic seat belt from the driver side is pissin me off lately because its malfunctioning. during the day its pretty much dead at the off position, during the nite its toggling back and forth ever freakin second, wanting to change it to manual seat belts. is it possible to have bucket seats and manual seat belt harness with passengers in the back? ive seen many applications with racing seats but every1 ive seen has the back seats removed. im thinking the bars have to be placed pretty much at the very top of the roof, or either the very bottom? so that the passengers wont hit their heads on the bar. i dont really want to lean towards the canadian way, most likely probably would though, but i need to find some good looking seats though!

take it to an acura dealer and have it fixed for free

get it fixed or do the manual conversion, you dont have to have racing seats to do a manual conversion.

if your taking it to the dealer make sure your car has not been involved in a accident.

if they find out your seatbelt is malfunctioning due to any reason besides electrical, they will slap you with a diagnostic fee, which is over $100. When i called them the operator told me that acura has a lifetime warranty on the seatbelts. now, dont get me wrong…a hundred something is nothing for safety,. but the thing that pissed me off was the operator was persistant about they’ll be absolutely no charge whatsoever.

just something out of experience. good luck

i have a feeling that they will come up with some bullshit and say it wasnt an electrical problem, and i have to pay the fee

well, theres only one way to find out

mines doing that.

but i had a small thing of smoke come from the control on the passenger side

seat… so how much does one of those cost… :frowning:
