Auto shifter is missing a couple connectors, but car still works?

So my brother’s car was having problems getting out of park in the winter. I cleaned the ignition switch, but to no avail. So I researched more and found it to likely be the neutral safety switch. I got it out, and started cleaning it, but realized that it had no connectors on the one side for the drive, s, and 2 gears.

(sorry, file was to big to link here)
compared to the one I found on this website with the how to

(sorry, it keeps saying invalid file)

What is the purpose of the 2 connectors I am missing? They appear to have been gone before I took it out, and I can put the car into drive without them. So I believe the car is working fine, but I feel uneasy not having them.

Any advice/help? I also don’t WANT to get a whole new switch, so is there anywhere I can just get the connectors, or what kind of metal should I use to make them myself?

Do all the shift indicators light up in the cluster, [P, R , N, D, S1 S2 S3] properly?

Is the P indicator on when you turn on the ign.?

Do you hear the shift lock solenoid, [at shift lever housing] click when you step on the brake, [when it will not shift out of park]? 94
