auto tranny reverse

normally when i put it in reverse the car slowly backs up on its own, same as if i put it in drive, it slowly goes by itself w/o me giving it gas.

but lately when i put it in reverse it doesnt go unless i give it gas. is it losing power?fluid is reddish still and level. its fine in drive.

Ya know I’ve experienced that problem before. But I’ve noticed sometimes after starting that the S4 light comes on (flashing) and then the tranny is sluggish. If I shut off and restart ensuring that the light doesnt flash, the gears operate with no hesitation. :werd:
