I have a 90 LS parts car with an auto trans, and a friend has a 1st gen teg with a failing auto. Will my transmission fit in her car? Has anybody tried swapping auto transmissions with other Acuras/Hondas?
P.S. - No, I’m not selling much of anything off the parts car…yet.
Anybody? I’m thinking the answer might be yes but I am doubtful because the 1g has a D series not a B series.
sorry to dissappoint but a b series tranny wont work with a d series block.
if u have any then look around on local forums. u can find d series trannys for bout 100 bucks. shit theres one for sale on an idaho forum for 35 bucks. lol

b series trans will NOT fit your D16A1
all d-series transmissions are NOT the same, dont run out and buy one for a civic when you have a first gen teg. they ARE different, those are one of those few exceptions to the d/b/h/f compatibility rule. 1st gen teg is only that… 1st gen teg.
if you could use a civic d series tranny on a 1g teg then 90% of sohc civic people would be using a 1g 5sp teg trans.
