I’m pulling my engine, and i cant figure out how to remove the auto shift cable if anyone can help let me know
although i’m not familiar with the automatic 90-93 integra type r, i’m guessing it would be the same as removal on the standard 90-93 integra, which begins on page 17-74 in your helms manual (that’s page 74, section 17–Automatic Transmission). Obviously I wouldn’t expect you to be attempting something like this without a helms manual, so there you go–all the information you need!!
yeah but the helms manual is so vague and the pictures don’t look the same
If your underneath the vehicle you will see were the cable goes into the tranny. There will be a cover there with 2-3 10mm bolts. Take those off and you will see cable were it connects to the tranny should just be a little cylinder like clip.

I finally got it thanks guys my car looks so sad without a motor in it
i have trouble with this. i still cannot remove the cable. i did took the cover off but the line/cable is inside and i cannot see inside and cant figure how to get the cable out. can anyone give me better describe? thanks.
haha, nice bump for a three year old thread. at least you tried searching.
The other way to disconnect the cable is to remove the interior center console apart and disconnect the cable from the shifter. IIRC, there is this collar/cover/pin thing that you can take off where the two connect. Once you do this you can remove the tranny with the cable still attached to it.
