AutoX Tire Pressures

Wow let me know the specifics on those. I’m looking at buying new shocks next season. It’s between shortened stiffened OTS Konis, Bilsteins, or whatever comes out between now and then.

As for pressures, on 215/45/16 Hankook RS2’s I generally run:
36-38 Front
30-32 Rear

parts:
Skunk2 coilovers
tokico illuminas
progress rear sway bar
GC tophats in the front
GC soft bumpstops front and back
SPC adjustable upper control arms in back

settings/specs:
camber: -2.2 front, -1.5 rear
toe: 0 front/rear. next season i’ll play around with the toe a bit. probably 1/8" toe up front
springs: 8K front, 10K rear
shocks: 3-5 front (usually 5), 5 rear

hope this helps you out man

Spec are avalible online, just search for koni 2812. they can be configured several ways. single, or double adjustable… steel body is the 3001 model, which would use a threaded collar, the 2812 is an aluminum threaded body. Both body types are configued for OEM fitment as per SCCA rules (ie, no arm changes). thats about it.

How much?

well, you know… the steel bodied koni 3001 units will run about $300-$400 or so per corner

Okay?

this was my fd told me that. he is a driver in TRACK, he drive a 97 civic 2Dr, is Front wheel drive too…he told me the set up is rear suspension harder than front, rear tire +3 psi and add a rear sway bar.
I trust him~!!!
and did u know when the tires get hot, wt happen will be? test the psi per tire b4 u drive, then test after u drive a freeway. u will know that~
is more psi !!! when u step the brake , the F brake is more hot than rear. so the RIM is hot too…
and please think about the front wheel drive car , front or rear tire grip is more important ?

Thanks everyone for posting your set ups! I’ve got two clubs in the area running on a Sat & Sun in a couple of weeks. I’m going to have to try some of the different set ups and play with suspension settings.

Since it’s been so hot here, bringing down the PSI a little lower may help (get out of the 40psi range for the front).

There’s a 24 hour event happening, but I think its for non-novices. Don’t think they’re comfortable with novices running at night, lol.

Anyone else that’s doing autoX post your set ups, I think this will help a lot of folks getting into the sport.
