Axle upgrade???

Whats up g2 guys/gals:

I just lowered my car about 3", my Q. is do I need to replace or upgrade my axles? If so, wich ones would you recommend? Any links or pics would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Raxles are really good, I’ve had them on mine for 2 or 3 years no tears at all. Good stuff!

You don’t need to ‘upgrade’ axles due to being lowered… yes, if your axles are old and worn out, it will accelerate that and make them go out quicker. But a new set of oem axles would be fine.

Your balljoints however, are a different story. Being lowered will most definitely chew those up quicker than average.

But Raxles and DriveShaftShop make awesome upgrade units.

i can vouch for multiple sets of raxles from OE replacement to the VIR model. all are still in great working conditions with no complaints from those who are using them…

Axles are not a necessary upgrade, but do note that once you lower your car, you just messed with suspension geometry (roll center). So if you ever launch your car, the chances are greater for the axles to snap as opposed to stock. There are ways around that to help such as mfactory’s/ buddy club/ spoon roll center ball joints and also the relatively new subframe collars from spoon, which I am pleased to see since this has become extremely popular in the 240sx scene for a few years now but i have not really heard any input from it, especially if it fits our generation integra.

But what everyone else said, raxles are the shiitt lol!
And also check your bushings and balljoints as well; there both often overlooked but extremely important!

Quick google search and this is what i found to help elaborate what i was talking about roll center
