Okay, I just checked my axles today. I had a problem with clicking, so I looked at my axles. One boot is ripped one one side, and seems to spin fine.
I thought that my camber kit was too tight so I loosened that up a little too.
Problem is:
When I spin my tire, only one side spins. I know that if you spin your tire one way, the other tire is suppose to spin the other way.
But only one of my tires spin now, the other doesn’t move at all.
It also makes like a clicking sound coming from in the trans. Both of my axles are intact, and so is my mid-shaft.
My car still runs and drives.
Does anyone know what’s wrong?
I’ve never had this problem before. All help is highly appreciated.
I know without LSD, when driving one wheel spins while the other follows, but I mean with the car off and jacked up, isn’t one of your tires supposed to spin in the opposite direction when you spin one side?
the other wheel will only spin if the trans is in gear… so if its in neutral than the other wont spin… so put ur trans in gear, 1st or 2nd, and try it like that next time.

If you hear a clicking noise coming from the axle/trans area, then it is most likely the axles. They need to be replaced. Especially if you are hearing this while turning. The fact that they are still in one piece means nothing. As you mentioned one of the boots is ripped so any small amount of dirt will tear that joint up on the inside.
Beware of cheap reman axles. There are a lot of members on here that have replaced them with these cheap POS parts only to find that they went bad in a SHORT amount of time.
