Hey g2ic, I’m a gen 2 fan from Connecticut and have been a fan ever since my first car (a 1990 ls integra) I fell in love with these cars since I was 16 and the holy grail for me has always been the highly sought after Aztec green pearl db2. I have recently had the chance to buy an original aztec green pearl gsr. It is a New England car and is not perfect (as seen in pictures) the passenger side quarter panel was patched with bondo at one time and the interior is missing a few small things. The seller is asking a price of $2900. I realize the rarity of these cars but what would a decent price be in the condition it is in. Once purchased I plan on having the quarter panel fixed the right way and a complete re-spray of the car and in other ways a complete restoration over the winter. Any feedback is highly appreciated, thank you for viewing
Looks like pretty minor cosmetic stuff. You have any junkyards out by you? Good luck on your project (if you do get it). I think driving it would give you a good hint as to its condition, but you didn’t say anything about that.
Thanks! I should be able to pick up the interior pieces and other cosmetics from junkyards in my area. Pretty exited to finally have the chance to own one of these things
Also, you have a great network of people here who have a lot of great parts for sale/trade. Just ask!
So I went today and test drove the db2, it surprised me how good it ran and drove and I could not help but buy it. Il post a new thread with updated pics and information. Finally back in a gen2!!!
The second gen GSR’s definitely hold their value since there were a very limited number of them made. The damage is very minimal and the engine bay looks good. I’d say $2900 was a pretty good deal.
