is anyone hear useing a b&m fuel pressure regulator. what did it do for you. does it even make a diference. are they easy to install

i’ve got one, i also got the gauge. it’s easy to instal, i recomend using a dremel to cut the old fpr, it’s kinda hard to do with a hack saw, and becareful of the spring when it comes off, it goes flying!
as for performance. i honestly didnt feel a difference. but i still have a stock exhaust manifold.

yeah i was thinking about getting one and the gauge, to see if it made a difernece in performance. i still have the stock exhaust manifold to i only have an intake, hiflow cat and a custom 2 1/4 inch catback.

I have one and it does help for tuning purposes. I have aftermarket cams though, on stock cams I don’t see it doing that much.

G2Integrity: what do you have for cams, did they make a big difference in performance. you have a non-vtec right.

Yeah, I have Crower 403’s and they make a big difference. I ran a 15.1 with basically the cams/i/h/e and some weight reduction. They really put your car into a new catgeory. Whereas before, you’re hanging with Si’s and getting beat by GSR’s, now you’re spankig Si’s and beating some GSR’s too.

I just put mine in last night, i havent really had a chance to toy with it. Easy install

G2Integrity: thats awsome man i think i am gona have to put a set of them in next year if i rebuild my engine.

if i put an fpr in how do i know what to set the presure at, i dont what to have it to high or to low. and if i install one will fuel leek out when i cut the stock one out or is there hoses the i clamp.
thanks

you have to have a gauge and measure what your stock setting is. then you put on the FPR and raise your pressure by about 2-5 psi for bolt ons

Dyno tuning is highly recommended with an FPR.

$ for $ made the biggest difference of any mod I’ve done- used to run lean on the top end- above 7k - and I’m not at the point where tuning would be advantageous since im still modifying the motor and adding boltons- so it took the lean right out of the top end and was great all the way to the peak of my powerband- which is about 8k even

hey thanks for all your help
i think im gona go a head and get the fpr and the guage. becuase i am planing on doing some engine work and buildign up the head next year. when i put it in would i have to increase the presure for stuff like intake, high flow cat, and 2 1/4 inch custom exhuast, because thats what i have right now.
thanks

watch out the the replacement bolt for the gauge to screw on, mine broke off when i was tightening it back onto the fuel filter when i changed it a few months later, now i have a fpr with no gauge, lol
