Special Notes
All LSD tranny’s are ink-stamped with LSD on their case. Also another way to spot an LSD tranny is to look down the axle hole in the tranny’s case. If you can see all the way through, it’s an LSD tranny. If you see a bar inside blocking your view, its a standard tranny.
JDM 98-01 ITR: S80-This tranny has a low 4.785 final drive ratio.
US 92-01 Delsol+SI Coupe: Y21/S21/S4C-No LSD(limited slip diff.)
US 97-01 ITR, JDM 95-97 ITR, JDM 92-00 SIR/CTR: Y21/Y80/S80/S4C- All “R” trans are LSD equipped. SiR models have optional LSD. Look for LSD stamp on case.
US 94-01 GSR, JDM 93.5-01, SIR/SIG: S80/Y80- US GSR are non-LSD. JDM SiR/SiG has optional LSD. Look for LSD on stamp case.
US 94+LS/GS/SPC. ED: S80-Non LSD. Gear ratios make for great gas mileage.
JDM 92-93 INTEGRA Rsi/Xsi: YS1- Same gearing as 92-01 hydro Sir/ITR/CTR but in cable form. Optional LSD.
JDM 88-91 CIVIC/CRX Sir: Y1-Y1’s have optional LSD.
JDM 90-91 INTEGRA Rsi/Xsi: S1/J1-NON-LSD/OPTIONAL LSD?
US 90-93 INTEGRA RS/LS/GS/SPEC.ED S1/YS1- Non LSD.

ANY B-Series Transmission will physically bolt up to any B-Series Motor. Some companies such as HASport carry conversion kits to run a cable transmission in a Honda/Acura normally equipped with a hydraulic transmission. At this time, no company is known to make a conversion kit to run a hydraulic transmission in a Honda/Acura normally equipped with a cable transmission.

just FYI, my friends b16 swap came with an LSD J1 (yours says there is no LSD J1) with a metal (not ink) LSD stamp. The S80 I have sitting here has an ink LSD stamp though.

yea like i said this is pretty much verbatim from a book. Im not well versed w/ all the different b-series trannies. But i thought this info may be useful to someone out there.

umm…i ain’t got a clue:) if you have the specs i’ll add it or is it the same as the jdm 92/93?
seen too many different ratios, so i will not comment. and also dont forget the b20 motors’ trannies. they are still b series motors.
how about usdm vs jdm S1?

aren’t the gearing differences too similar to tell by driving?
