15.4-ish is closer
just compare a teg with a b16a to a 99+ civic si. teg is 100 pounds lighter, but the civic si has 10 more horsepower (unless you get the gen 2 b16a for your teg). they are practically dead even. -Dan
…
both have the same hp and torque , and my friend civic SI doing 15.2@93 ! so with the teg , beeing a Rs and nothing in the trunck , should be able to do it !
I have a pretty much stock teg and i get 15.4.
but to get a b16a motor wouldn’t be much of a gain.
I’ll let you know on Monday. This weekend California Speedway in Fontana will be open for the 1/4 mile and I’ll be there. (Representing Team Illusive, my cousin and my crew) If I pass the tech inspection I’ll tell you what I ran. Right now I’ve got 4-1 headers and hollow cat, 2 1/4" piping, stock muffler, but I have an exhaust leak, maybe that’ll let my car breath a little better, and the resonater on the bottom of the stock intake is off, like in the Teg tips, the ram intake, i’ve got that. I’m going to try it with stock intake and aftermarket (Focuz) Plus it’s lowered. I’m also going to do a tune up so it should be in decent shape.

My quickest time was a 15.58 @ 92 MPH
Now (not to sound like I’m making excuses) I do have no name brand tires (which I ran at about 28 PSI of a 35 Max), bad shocks and a stock clutch (not once have I changed it since I got the engine). The day was almost summer hot in Fontana (if anyone knows how that is, probably 90+ degrees) I swear I got a shade darker on just one arm!!
I took a lot of things out of my car. Backseats, spare tire, jack, back carpet piece and that black plastic piece. Only thing in the back is the plastic pieces that go around (I was going to take them off but I got lazy).
I ran with the homemade ram air (like in the teg tips) on stock airbox, Focuz intake and with the bottom of the airbox off. The filter didn’t make much of a noticeable difference (probably cause the piping felt like 130 degrees, throwing in hot ass air, I think I got a better time with the bottom of the airbox off. Kamikaze 4-1 headers, hollow cat, a crack in the piping right after the cat (might’ve given me better airflow, the hole’s kind of big) 2 1/4" piping and stock muffler. Pretty stock if you ask me.
I threw in some Bosch platinum 4 tip, Royal purple synthetic oil 5w 30 and a new rotor (couldn’t get the right cap, I didn’t know it didn’t fit until the day before race day) and some 91 octane from 76. I also threw in a little fuel injection cleaner and ran on a little less than 1/8 a tank of gas.
Also, I’ve got (pieces of $|-||T) APC coil overs which I lowered the front a gang and left the back a little higher.
That’s about it, so to run an average of 15.6 @ average 90MPH with a B16 in a G2 Integra beating GSR’s, cause I beat 2 out of my total 4 runs just do what I did.
