B16/LS transmission question

Hopefully i post this in the right section. but i was wondering if anybody nows if i can swap the gears out of a cable b16 transmission into an ls cable transmission housing. I have a good ls housing and a b16 with a blown differential. I want the gear ratios of the b16 but nobody can tell me if it will work or not. If anybody nows please help. If not im just going to try and find a b16 with a limited slip from the factory. wich i think will be easier than swapping gears.

The cable B16 gears will only fit in a 90-91 LS case(S1 or Y1). The 92+ gear sets all have larger diameter shafts and the gears aren’t interchangable to teh different size shafts and the case will only fit teh size shaft that was originally in it(ex. B16 case won’t fit 92+ shafts and vice versa.).

hey man, i have the jdm YS1 with LSD (gsr trans) I vote for selling the b16 trans you have and buying a different one in running condition, or possibly rebuilding the one you have with a new dif. i don’t think it would be worth the headache swapping the guts. btw, you’ll love the 4.40 final drive once you get it on the LS… my car (stock 92 da) went 15.7 with the trans and LSD as my only mod (well lightweight wheels too…10lbs each) and that was at 104 degrees outside temp (i live in phx). g/l with the trans swap man!

Didn’t read correctly before…
