I have a buddy of mine that ask me if he can use a ls crank and rods into a b16 block and u know make a 1.8 stroke will that work?
There’s some guy on honda tech (tech43 or something like that)that makes a arias piston kit, which allows you to use an ls crank and rods in a b16 blockwith 81.5mm bore to make it a 1.9 basically a sleeper ls/vtec http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1057340
i read up on that link it says he did do a 1.9 with some aftermarket rods but i my question really is if one can use the ls rods and well of course the ls crank with the B16 pistons. Will that be better than a ls block with b16 pistons u know wich gives more Tourqe and Horse power.
yes u can use the stock ls rods and crank,but torque wise it is exactly the samething as b18 because of the fact that it is an ls bottom end in a b16 block,but it might vary with the compresion #s because of the difference in deck height.
Hmm the same for real? i kinda fig it would be a bit diff cuz we are going to use the same B16 pistons.
would it not be if the ls rods are a bit to long for the B16 block…another question can i use the ls crank and b16 rods?
