b16 tranny exedy stage 1 and fidanza 7.5lbs flywheel.

The 5th gear went out in my integra, so I went out and picked up a y1 b16 tranny a exedy stage 1 clutch and a fidanza 7.5lbs flywheel. Just to let you know if you plan on doin this you have to get a 90-91 clutch kit cuz the spline I believe is bigger or smaller one way. Droppin the tranny was pretty lame. I’ve never done it before so I was just kinda guessin what bolts to take out and what not. The biggest set back was that the pin that holds in the shift linkage would not come out. Probably because my freind tried to drill it out first rather then use a punch like your supposed to. We worked on it for 4 hours and couldn’t get it out so we just drilled out the one that was still on the linkage that was in the car and used it. So we droped it puttin it back in took alot less time cuz we knew where all the bolts went.

After we got it out I was easy on it for about 650 mixed driving miles. Well honestly I was easy on it for about 5 seconds b4 I took it up to like 6k but I didn’t shift fast or anything. If it doesn’t last for 60k i’ll know why. Anyways I love the way the car feels now, it really smoothed out the revs. And goes threw gears like a savage. Everyone said it was gonna really suck to drive in the city with the 7.5lbs flywheel. But its really not that bad at all. Its gets annoying at times but I think its totally worth it. So yeah if your gonna stay N/A this setup is pretty nice.
