b16a distributor

Just did a b16a sir1 swap and I used my old ls distributor with the b16. I was only able to get 1 bolt on to hold the distributor. Oil is leaking from it pretty bad. Tryed a new “o” ring with no success.

Where can i get a cheap distributor made for the b16a sir1, or a used 1.

PS I hate ebay!

Im runing a bootleg setup w/ls dizzy right now
and I got no leaks. Im also using only 1 bolt
through the top.

I know you changed the o ring and said no luck,
is it possible that its not completely bottomed out?

You have to cut off a leg…

off of the LS distributor, that way you can at least use two bolts to hold the distributor on, otherwise you have two options:

  1. Find a B16 distributor, usually run about ~$150

  2. run the car with the oil leak.

Thanks for the reply’s. I made sure the “o” ring was snug twice, still leakin.

I cut off 1 of the legs but I can’t get 2 bolts to fit. I think I will spend $150. I’m very anal, can’t have any leaks!
