Ok, before you all jump on me and tell me to search and look at the Teg Tips, i have. i just want clarification on what i have read. i am assuming that if i want to do this as cheap as possible, all i really need is a complete motor, and the pre-ODB ECU. is there anything i cant use from my b18a, on the b16a, if the b16 were to come with anything missing? i plan on using my LS tranny, and the motor mounts from the b18. i am also assuming i can jus take regualr 18ga electrical wire to run from the VTEC solenoid to the ECU. and also will the b16 ECU just plug into my wiring harness? i need these answers as soon as possible so ican buy this motor, and start on the project. Thanx in advance to anyone that can help. 
you also need a 2nd o2 sesor.
you will be able to use your cap, roter, coil, and i think egnitors.
there are other things that can swap over, but those are obvious.

basically because im cheap and i have no money. i also for got to add that i have a full MSD ignition, cap, external coil, the works. will that work as well?
im not sure if that swaps over, never dealt with MSD. i imagine that it will.
you should really save and wait until you can afford a full swap. using the LS tranny wont give you the rerformace goals you are looking for with the b16.
im running a b16 with an ls trany (temporary…building turbo motor)…and its not a lot faster than the ls was.
You can use your ls tranny no probs, just dont be surprised when the car is slower than befroe the swap took place. You just have to look at this as an investment and not an immediate increase in power. I would also purchase Energy Suspension motor mount inserts seeing as your stock motor mounts are more than likely past their expiration date.

cool, thanx for the help/advice guys. i do plan to switch over to a b16 tranny as soon as i start working again. i would save up for the complete swap, but since i have no car, i cant get a job. i jus need the car to run for now, once i get money ill do what i shouldve done in the first place.
