i got a hold of a cheap b16a1 for my GSR and since my engine needs headwork , i was thinking that 550 bucks for a b16a1 isnt a bad idea , plus it comes with a warranty e.t.c. and i was wondering if i would need to get a new ECU wiring harness or anything like that for it to work ? or would it bolt right in as if it was a b17a1 ?
treat it as if it were a B17. Everything in your car will work.
Just re-use your GSR distributor, injectors, and altenator so you don’t have to worry about any non-obd/obd1 problems.
ahh ok , so thats all id need to do so i dont run into any obd problems ,? do i need to replace any oxygen sensors or anything? Also , wouldnt it be wise to get a b16a1 ECU since it has a little higher fuel cut and generally takes a little more advantage of the b16a, or would that just be asking for more OBD problems ?
